Talking hey all! =D

Hey guys.

I'm new to this forum and it took me awhile to find something like this.. i wanted a website to keep me motivated, read news about people and the whole shabang and i've finally found the perfect one..

Let me introduce myself,

My names Amy and i live in Melbourne -- recently moved here from Adelaide.

I've been a 'big' kid pretty much my whole life.. and i slowly get bigger by the years. i'm 17 at the moment and it's my 18th in December. So i've decided to set myself straight and change for the better!

I started my diet just a few days ago and i weigh a dissapointing 90kilos. And to the BMI calculators, and i'm obese.. For many years i've always thought i don't look that big, i'll be ok. But i've recieved so many comments from family members that i should loose weight etc etc.. it hurts me and no matter how much i want too -- it's just so hard.

So this time, i've decided to keep it up for sure.. I ain't gona let myself down for the 100th time!

A few days ago i weighed exactly 91.4kilos it's been 3 days and i'm now 90.0kilos.. I'm slowly getting the hang of it.. and hopefully i do well!

I guess my goal is to loose 20kilos by the end of the year.. pretty much it's my new years resolution!

I exercise 40minutes or 1 hour a day.. fast paced walks -- because i heard it's better to do fast walking than jogging --

i cut myself off from sweets, junk food and soft drinks.. and eating lots of fruits and veggies.

Well i hope i succeed and i can't wait for the results!

if you have any advice, tips or any words of wisdom --then go for it! I'd take anything up

thanks guys and best wishes to you all!

Welcome to the community and best of luck to you with you goals.

Why is it that you think fast walking is better than jogging?

Very good to hear you "cleaned up" the diet. That will make a big difference.
