Unhappy fatloss4idiots diet

Hi, my name is Valrie and I'm a 37 year old fifth grade teacher. Over the last 8 months I've lost 42lbs. My weightloss has slowed down and seems as if it has stopped at 190lbs. My goal is to reach 120lbs because I am only 5ft tall. I recently started the fatloss for idiots diet. It is day 6 of the diet and I've only lost about one pound. I want to know if there is anyone with experience with this diet who has had similar experience. Is there something that I am doing wrong? I really want to loose this weight. I'm just tired of it now.

facts about lossing weight

Its a well know fact that weight loss typically involves the loss of fat, water and muscle. It is simply to eat less and be more active. Weight loss is not easy to do and can add to stress and is even harder when suffering from sleep deprivation. Weight loss is almost always recommended for persons who are overweight. However, the key to successful weight loss is to find a balance between exercise and healthy diet which can contribute to calorie reduction but at a reasonable, undramatic pace so that the weight loss will be maintained through the new healthy lifestyle.

Nevertheless, common prescription for weight loss is walking, running or other cardio type exercises. Weight loss is much more than just exercise and watching what you eat. While the body does use less fat and more carbohydrates for fuel the harder you work out, what ultimately matters most for weight loss is the overall calorie burn. You can ask any dietitian or health care expert and you will always get the same answer. Be informed that quick weight loss is not safe. As one attempt at quick weight loss is followed by another, the body gets used to these short periods of starvation and starts to take steps to protect itself

Yeah, about diets....

I tried that exact diet, infact, I've tried about a million diets. The only thing about diets is before you start one, ask yourself: Is this something I can stick to for the rest of my life. If it is not, then you should absolutely not do it. You might lose weight, but in the end you'll put it back on.

I think your focus should be making healthier decisions with your food choices. Find out how many calories you need to eat for your body to function then subtract that by a few hundred. Once you have that number, stay to it. It will change as your weight changes. Also exercise, but do fun things. Join a team sport, etc. make this a lifestyle change... not just a diet.
