qash is on a distinguished road
A hello from me to all

Hello
My name is qash and i m 20 yrs of age. I am 158 cm(5'3'' feet) tall and 85 kg (187.39 lbs) Weight. I have joined the Gym and I am going to Gym regularly for 2.5 months but unfortunately I have lost only 1 kg. Now only 1 month is left of the membership and I want to loose something. Here is my plan...

First of all I start my Warm up exercise from Cycling and then on Treadmill. About 40 minutes on both and I lose 350 + 350 calories (a total of 700 calories) per day for five days. I lose about 3,500 calories per week and have a plan to lose 16,000 calories in 1.5 month. I also Swim once a week for about 30 minutes. Am I doing OK or should I increase the amount of calories to be lost or some other exercises should be done by me? At last I wanna say that I am not trying to do Body Building I am just trying to lose weight. Thats All

A reply from any one will be very highly appreciated.

Thats great that you are working so hard. I personally stopped losing when I was doing the same workout everyday I guess my body got immune to it or something! If it isn't working for you maybe try mixing it up each day? There are different types of cardio you can do at the gym like eliptical, treadmill, swimming, rowing machine, and a lot of gyms offer great structured classes that burn a lof of calories like kickboxing and such.. Just something to think about that worked for me and it keeps you from getting bored! I would also focus on your calories and keep a journal.. Food is a major part of losing weight too not just exercise.. You can find some calculator online that tells you how many calories you need to be eating a day to lose weight for your height, weight etc.. This really helps speed up the process! ( at least in my opinion) GOOD LUCK!!

Just make sure you are eating a proper amount of calories along with all that work and the proper nutrients to try and hold on to the muscle that you have.

If you find yourself plateauing then change things up. Keep your body guessing. You could use a different machine as christenhere said, you could change the intensity of the exercise, you could do interval training... there are any number of options to change things up when you need to.

Best of luck to you!

Hello and Welcome Qash!
I agree, you seem pretty determined to lose those extra pounds. I personally don't like the gym, I rather jog outside. I've never used a gym membership.
You could try changing it up a bit, or go longer. If you swim for 30 mins..then you could try 1 hour
