Rep Power: 5 | | | Hello everyone Hello everyone, I hate newbie threads but suppose its the best way to start
I've been on a calorie controlled diet for two weeks and haven't lost anything so far, so am basically here for advice and support. I don't want to give up!!
Here are the basics:
I currently weight 11st 11lbs - (167 lbs)
I am 5 ft 4
I want to lose about 2 stone (haven't got a goal date)
I am currently eating between 1000 - 1400 calories per day (mostly nearer 1000)
Going to gym 2-3 times per week
I have a feeling that I am probably not eating enough but not really sure ??
Any advice and support greatly appreciated

Rep Power: 11 | | You're absolutely not eating enough. Rough guess you should be at least eating into the upper range you suggested of 1400. But even that might be a tad low. It's hard to say without more info, but you should definitely check out the stickies around the various sub-forums and straighten that diet up. You want to make sure you're losing fat, not muscle.
Good luck with this new endeavour! |

Rep Power: 5 | | Thanks very much everyone for the replies. I have upped the calories a little but feel like I should have least lost something for the amount I have cut out of my diet??
My friend suggests I try fluid retention tablets but not sure about them as don't really know if I have that problem or not and don't want to take things for the sake of it ? Going to Boots Pharmacy tonight and will have a word with the staff

Sorry, your message is a little confusing to me
I felt a little frustrated as I posted two days ago at a decent hour of the night (don't know what time zone I need to change to ) and so when I saw 38 views but no reply I felt a little ignored |

Rep Power: 217 | | | a lot of the views that happen on posts - are from the spiders and other bots or guests which don't have the ability to post-
it's not people reading and ignoring you...
What time zone are you in? |

Going to Boots Pharmacy tonight and will have a word with the staff | Honestly i wouldnt suggest it - the only thing they do is get rid of water weight - and that's not fat -just water - you can get the same result by making sure you get enough fluids into you (preferably water..)
you can tell if you're getting enough water by checking the color of your urine - if it's anything but a pale yellow to almost clear then you need to drink more.. |

Rep Power: 5 | | | Thanks - I wouldn't have taken them without medical advice anyway. I probably do need to drink more to be fair
For my time zone - I'm currently in UK and its 3.30pm |

Rep Power: 19 | | Darlin, you're not consuming enough calories, particularly since you are exercising fairly regularly. Gotta feed the fires in order to keep 'em burnin. Quote:

Um . . . ?
Anyway, welcome. Hope you find what you're looking for here. | I have been online most of the afternoon and found a zig-zag calorie diet that I am going to try out - goes from 1336 to 1737.
