Hello everyone! My name is Lindsey, and I'm new here. I've done a bit of looking around, and this looks like a really positive, encouraging community.
I just turned 22, and I am currently at my highest weight ever. I'm about 5'6", and as of this morning, I weighed 181 pounds. When I was 17, I got up to 175, and through determination and hard work, I lost down to 145. My weight gradually crept back up to around 160 or so, then I lost down to 142 again in the summer of 2006. However, since then I've gained 40 pounds from lack of exercise and overeating.
It's time for a change, and I know I can do this. I've done it twice before by being focused and positive, and I know that so much of it has to do with state of mind. I feel that I'm ready to make this change. My goal as of right now is 125, but we'll see how things go. I look forward to coming here to give and get motivation!
Welcome! Check out the stickies that are posted here and there - you'll get some good advice. You have the right go-get-'em attitude and it sounds like you are ready to make a permanent change. Good luck with all of your goals!
