Rep Power: 0 | | Hello all Well this is all new to me. Not just the site, came highly recommended by the way, but a forum as well. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I am currently a good 80 lbs over where I should be. I am a nurse and I know what it is doing to my body. I try to stay healthy but life always seems to get in the way. I began putting a lot of weight on about 10 years ago when I needed to have my gallbladder out. I put on about 50 lbs really quickly and then over the next 5 years added the last 30. I swing 15 to 20 lbs one way or the other and held there the last 3 years.
I have worked the night shift for the last 8 years and in the last year and a half find myself doing the swing routine with all of my days off. A large part of my problem is that I never know night from day and sleep tends to come before a trip to the gym. I enjoy my time at the gym, but if I have to sleep and I stop on my way home even prescription sleeping pills don't work for the rest my body needs.
I would love any advise that others have found to be useful.
Thanks for your time and it is good to be here.

Good luck and welcome.

Rep Power: 0 | | | There is no way to change my shifts. I sleep as best I can during the day. I am usually up at least 3 to 5 times. Includes making dinner and doing dishes. If I work out I am up for the day and I only have access to the gym until 8pm. As I usually get back to bed at 6-7 pm that does not work. I love my job, but I just wish that I could find more free-time.
It was better before when I didn't flip shifts, but I just am not able to sleep during the day on the days I work let alone on the ones I don't.
Thanks for the help. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
