Heya everyone!

I'm 18 years old and I live in Southern Alberta. I just finished my first year of university in April. I have great friends, a great house, great roommates and a great job.
I'm trying to lose weight and get healthy. At the beginning of May I weighed 180 pounds and by working out with one friend doing Richard Simmons and another friend in his basement I've lost 10 pounds!
One of my biggest flaws is making the right eating decisions. Because I don't live at home, my meals are often Mac and Cheese, pasta, microwavable dinners or fast food! Eek! So hopefully I'll learn to make healthier choices!

Stick around long enough and read enough thread/diaries and you will learn pretty fast what the best plan will be for you.
One of my best friends lives in Alberta. Up in Canmore. Ever been there?

I have been to Canmore actually! But not in a long time. Probably about 8 years ago. I actually know a fair bit about the place though, I work at a tourist information centre.

I was suppose to go visit her this summer but then the $$$ didn't work out so well with the rising cost of an airline ticket. So maybe next summer. If she is still there. Her hubby works for some company that moves them around pretty regularly.

Hello! and congrats on the 10 pounds already! that's awesome! I'm JUST starting haha... I'm 23, 5'6" 210. My goal is 150 for now..and then go from there. I WAS 180, then since being with my bf the past year 30 lbs miraculously appeared ... haha.. he always has to have snacks around, and it never fails, but they'r there, you eat em. So i'm trying to get healthy eating down with him too... so there are no temptations in the house.. for EITHER of us..
I just found out there's a gym where i moved! yay! so something to get me active again!
I live in BC! so close to AB.. haha..
