Hi everyone,

I joined this site just now because I need to lose weight, and I thought that maybe if i posted pics and talked to others etc, it might actually motivate me.

I am 22 and suffer from agorophobia, but its getting better, i can actually manage to get out and walk the dog in the morning and in the evening when its quiet (I hope I don't sound mental...)

I can't really blame my phobia for my weight gain because I know their are plenty of exercises that can be done inside, I am overwight simply because I eat too much and don't do anywhere near enough exercise.

I look forward to getting to know everyone, and interacting with you all.

oh yeah, incase anyone wondered, I'm 5ft 5" and weigh about 182 pounds.. I am not sure exactly because I haven't been on the scales in a while.

Hey and welcome!

This place is great for motivation as well as information. You mentioned maybe posting before pictures and there is even a special forum just for that! Have a look around, maybe start a diary, and let us know more how you plan to lose some of the weight.

I have struggled with agoraphobia in the past (which is odd when you consider the fact that I earn my living hosting karaoke shows)....but I can relate. PinkSugar, if you need some advice on dealing with agoraphobia, feel free to PM me.

Hi Pinksugar! I hope you find this forum to be as informative as I have. I recently joined and it has been a big help with my fitness journey. I also had a very difficult struggle with agoraphobia and sometimes wouldnt leave my house for a week at a time. I still have days where I feel like staying in, but now its much better.
