Talking Im a newbie and losing weight AGAIN

So like everyone else in here im another WEIGHTLOSS NEWBIE! Im not new to weight loss though. To give you a little background... Up until I was 17 I was overweight. I would say for my height I was overweight by about 30-40lbs. I decided to join the Military when I was 17 and the recruiter gave me some tough lovin. He told me I had to lose weight in order to join [sad isn't it? Lol] Well I really wanted to join so I was determined and motivated. I lost 50lbs in 4.5 months. I went back to the recruiter, thinner, leaner, toner and more in shape and he was shocked. He was very surprised that I actually did lose the weight just to join. Well after graduation I left for bootcamp and since than I have stayed in shape and kept the weight off. I am 5'3" and now 23 years old. I have never been super skinny or had a "small" shape. At my fittest I weighed 135 and has about 16% body fat and was in a size 6/7 jeans [junior jeans]... WELL... a lot has changed. Me and my BF found out I was pregnant last year and needless to say I gained a TON of weight... like 80lbs! I was so depressed it wasn't even funny. My son was born [he was a big baby] on February 21, 2008. I couldn't workout right away because I had a c-section but 6wks PP I started running again and since than I have been running 3-4 times a week, averaging about 12-15 miles each week. This week I have also started running up and down the bleachers at the High School. [It’s a lot harder than it looks].

In the past 4months I have lost 50lbs. I have another 30 to go before I get down to my pre-pregnancy weight and than once I hit that milestone I want to drop another 15lbs. Right now I am setting up mini goals for myself instead of looking at the big picture. My goal for this month is to drop 8lbs by July 4. I started this mini goal in the beginning of June and since that first week of this month I have lost 5lbs so im almost at my goal and than some.

I am just so determined and motivated to get this weight off and I hope I can be a motivator for other women who need to shed that baby weight cause lord knows I have/had to shed a lot of it!

wow. you sound like you have great determination! maybe you can rub off on me a little bit. I need determination like that again. I am a 23 year old mother as well. I lost the weight after my first two but now two years after my third I am having trouble. Have you started a diary yet? I'd love to read it and hear about your work-out routines. Do you do anything else besides running?

I probly will start a diary, that sounds like a good idea.

As of right now all im doing is running and running the bleachers. I have a gym membership which I plan on using but before I go I wanted to lose a little bit of the baggage before jumping right into the gym routine [I used to be a gym nut]. Im at that point now where I am going to start going on the weekend [continue running and bleachers during the week]. Im going to start doing light weights to tighten all the areas ive lost from. Their not saggy or anything they could just use some tightening.
