Hey everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself and share a little...
Im Shaun. Im 23 years old and i feel like Ive hit a wall and seem to be regressing as opposed to progressing so i came online for a little motivation/help.
Im 5'8 and currently weigh 160
pounds. A couple years back i was tipping the scales at around 195
pounds or so and was in absolutely terrible shape. My step dad started taking me to the
gym and i was instantly hooked. The weight dropped off slowly and then even more dropped off when i changed my
diet.
The past year and a half Ive lost all interest in lifting but started running instead. I now enter in 10km races and last month i ran my first half marathon in 1:31:13.
Last summer i was walking around at 155
pounds but have gained 5 back. I know 5
pounds doesnt seem like a lot but it is to me. For the past while ive been running, lifting or biking almost everyday for at least an hour and yet it seems like i cant drop a
pound.
I come home after work or school and cant help but shovel terrible food into my
body until i feel full.
Im setting a
goal of losing 10
pounds. I want to hit 150
pounds and preferrably by the end of August.
I have a pretty good idea of what it takes to get there but i guess im just looking for that extra motivation and push to get myself away from the sugar/junk food/large portions again.
Any advice on workouts/nutrition or anything else along those lines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to check this out.
- Shaun
