Hi to everyone. I have been losing weight for about a year and a half now. I started cause my wife and I were going on vacation and also cause I was just sick of being fat. I weighed 284lbs at my heaviest. I am currently 194lbs losing a total of 90lbs so far. I am thinking 184lbs will be my end goal, making the magic number 100lbs, but we will see how i look at that weight. I graduated high school at 240lbs and have been heavy my whole life. I currently weigh less now at 34 years old than i did in ninth grade. My goal is not to be skinny (scrawny) but to be well built. Abs would be nice but 34 years of being overweight may fight that. I am not sure how much of a skin tightening problem i will have, not to bad so far but there is some loose skin, but it takes time to tighten and there is still fat trapped on my lower belly. I think at this point i want to focus more on building muscle than losing weight. I am sure i lost some lean muscle in the weight loss process. I pretty much ran the weight off. 3 miles a day on the treadmill at 6mph also did some elliptical training in the beginning but have slowed down on that. Currently still running 3 miles a day, weight training 1 day on 2 off, and doing abs everyday. Like i said i think i am going to try and build some muscle now, especially in the chest as that seems to be were i have lost the most. i posted some before and after pics in the before and after section.
Good luck to everyone and dont give up. Once you succeed, you will feel like you can do anything.
