Rep Power: 5 | | | things almost went wrong things almost went wrong today.. had an exam in the morning, so i was up all night.. as a result it was kinda difficult to work-out in the morning.. but waking up i decided to put some effort and go for it.. felt good after the half an hour session of cardio...
after the exam, i had to have some pictures taken for the newspapers (recently my team from the university had won a global marketing award.. so an article on us along with pictures was going on the news)... now i had been dreading this day for months.. i haven't taken much picture after putting on weight, and i was really scared of having my pictures on the paper like this.. as expected after taking the pics the "u take up the whole frame' jokes started.. i was a little down, and hungry and even considered binging ..my team-mates were going to a buffet lunch to celebrate.. and i was tempted to binge...
but i checked myself in the last minute.. and instead i walked around the campus and had a little steamed rice with chicken, followed by lots of fruits..
i went to my office and on my way back home i had lentils, soup, fruits and vegetables.. although the initial plan was to keep the dinner lighter i am glad that it was mostly fruits and vegetables.. i plan to walk for half an hour before going to bed...
so all in all my third way is successfully completed.. it could have been one of those depressing days where i get frustrated and lose control.. but what kept me going is prolly the fact that when i come back home i'll write in WLF and i wouldn't want to write about giving up...
so thanks every one |

Rep Power: 6 | | | Like I said already, good work! When you first start it's all about overcoming those temptations and things that will lead you away from what you really want.
Now I'm craving lentils though.. don't have any so I guess I'll get some cottage cheese, ha |

Rep Power: 8 | | Way to go you made great choices and that is the start. You will find that when you start seeing results those choices are going to be real easy. No I don't want to jeopardize my goal. Good for you! Tina |

Rep Power: 5 | | woo hoo day FOUR successfully completed.. woo hoo
and it was prolly the best day of them all.. it was a lucky holiday so i decided to catch back on the sleep that i had been missing over the past few days..
so i woke up at ten.. did cardio for half an hour.. and had veggie soup and fruits and a boiled egg for breakfast... for lunch i had steamed rice (about half a cup or one cup proportion) and spinach and chicken (chest meat, cooked without much oil).. i snacked with cashew nuts.. and finally for dinner i had fruits, veggies and lentils.. i brisk walked for half an hour afterwards..
i am feeling great.. tmrw i go to the gym for a weight session
thank u guys..

Rep Power: 5 | | day 5 successfully done.. decided to take the weekly treat the day started off well.. woke up.. worked out.. had my usuals of veggie soup and boiled egg .. followed by steamed rice and chicken in the afternoon.. i snacked with an apple in between..
i am supposed to take a 'treat' meal only once a week, where i get to have something i've been craving for thru out the week (only in small proportion)..
this helps to stop the cravings (and from binging) and helps me to keep a healthy diet thru out the week..and since its just one meal in the entire week, and dat too in small amount it dsnt hurt..
initially i planned to take the meal on Saturday (7th day of the routine).. but today was my younger sister's 13th birthday, and she really requested me to have dinner together with the family.. i said no but then felt really guilty.. so in the evening i bought her a birthday cake and decided to drop home and give her a surprise..
so i had dinner with the family.. i realized with a tinge of satisfaction that although it was supposed to be the 'treat' i dint feel like binging..i only had a small amount of the cake followed by a dinner cooked at home...
so i am pretty satisfied with day 5.. tmrw i continue with my soup, fruits veggie and chicken..and ofcourse my work-outs..i wud be a little careful though tmrw.. to make sure dat i dnt feel tempted to treat myself any further.. only once a week is the rule
then on monday or tuesday, i finally measure my weight for the frst time after starting the routine.. wish me luck |

Its good you are allowing yourself a treat once a week, and you are being reasonable about how much of it you eat. Very good so you don't feel 'deprived'.
Big change in your writing even between day 1 and day 5. It will be interesting to see how it is in a couple months. |

Rep Power: 5 | | late night/early morning rambles woo hoo.. its two in the morning here, and i just finished a one hour moderate intensity cardio session (static bike)..
i haven't been his enthusiastic about working out for years.. it feels good
since it was a holiday and i wasn't going any where i thought i shud walk for an hour in the evening to somewhat make up for the activity level (i normally walk for half an hour).. the rest of the day went as usual.. tae bo in the morning..fruits, vegetables, steamed rice, and lentils for five meals spread thru out the day (oh, and a few biscuits).. but when the evening came i got all sluggish..instead of walking, i logged into facebook and played poker.. finally it was twelve in the night, and i thut heck there's no time to walk now...
but i dint feel like writing "i was too lazy to walk" in the forum, so i pushed myself, stepped on the cycle and gave it one hour at an (above) moderate intensity..and boy it feels good...
u guys inspire me .. if it wasnt for wlf i prolly wud have given up and gone to sleep...
