Hi Everyone! I am a newbie to even trying to lose weight, but I am gonna give it a shot.

So, I already wrote a diatribe about why I chose to lose weight now... you know the usual, blah, blah, blah, but now I want to have a more fun conversation.

There is one thing I have always been curious about...
What is it like to have someone call you hot or sexy?

I want to know what it feels like to be called sexy or hot or any of those words that the opposite sex uses when you know they are only thinking about one thing.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand men who think of women as nothing more than a sex object. But that being said, every woman wants to feel sexy sometimes. I always wondered what it would feel like to feel sexy in lingerie or a bathing suit. I have only been called cute, adorable, etc. You know, all the things men would call their little sister.

Since many of you know probably where I am coming from, I was wondering if you would let me, and any other curious party, know what it feels like to finally feel sexy.

Guys too... What was it like to finally be noticed for something other than your "personality"?

In all honestly -sexiness comes from within you...

people can be sexy at any size/shape -it's a belief in your self and an appreciate of what you see and who you are...

Doesn't mean you cant improve yourself

but if you don't see yourself as sexy -no one else is going to

it's all about confidence

I couldnt agree with this more. There is nothing sexier than a girl that exudes confidence.

I will add to this that once I started losing weight, I started having more confidence about my appearance. First time I felt sexy in a long time was after I had lost about 40 pounds, was trying on an outfit that I was wearing to a party at my husband's work, he rounded the corner and said "dayum!" First time I had a reaction like that out of him in ages. That made me feel sexy, boosted my confidence. Those feelings in turn helped keep me motivated to continue to lose weight. So it all feeds on each other.

Now, with 4 to go, I feel and look better than I have in over 10 years, feel sexy more often than not, the self confidence is there like it hasn't been in ages... yeah, its a good thing.

Lingerie and bathing suits are one thing, I like feeling sexy in a pair of jeans and a form fitting tank top.

I couldn't agree with everyone more. Feeling sexy does come from within... but with all the negative feedback about being overweight out there I just thought it would be motivating to hear about some times when other people got from positive feedback.

I live on a college campus and there have been many times when random strangers would say awful things about my weight as I walked by... And I am not even that big!!!

I wanted to see how people felt if they got the opposite kind of attention.

There are many, many men and women in the world that have beautiful bodies that aren't "sexy".

It's always nice to be complimented on your physique, especially when you work hard in the gym to get that physique. But there is so much more to a person than just their body. It's the way they carry themselves, the way they present themselves to the world, the way their body "talks" to you, their eyes, their smile. It's all those things put together that create this illusion we call "sexy". It's not just about having the perfect physique. At least not in my mind

I really believe that being sexy is about how you carry yourself and your confidence. It is something that you can create for yourself on the spot. Feel it, and you will be it.

Being beautiful, fit and healthy is something you have to work at everyday. Those comments mean more to me than being sexy.
