Hello everyone. I am brand new to this today! I have a long journey ahead of me. I am currently 321 lbs and would like to lose 140lbs.
I am 44 years old and I have finally decided to put as much effort into myself as I did in raising my recently married daugther.
I have been obese for over 20 years , I think I have tried every diet known to man-kind and even invented a few myself. I recently started a plan that is actually working. I started at 348lbs.
My biggest hurdle is exercise and staying motivated. I'm open to any
suggestions. Also please know I'm a good listener too!

Well hello there Im fairly new to but this I do know I have lost weight and I have gained it all back and then some. But I decided enough is enough. My stradigy is simple, smaller portions and workouts in the gym on my bike and weights. to make smaller portions I started to use a smaller plate that seemed to work for me. Just so you know I started at 391 lbs and now am sitting at 329 lbs so it is working. hope I can continue to be suport for you!!!

The smaller plate trick really does work! This site is a great motivation in itself. Definitely consider starting a diary. It's really worked to keep me motivated because of all the nice comments people leave. I've never stuck to a diet this long (and it's only been 10 days). I wouldn't have stuck with it at all if I hadn't found this site. Also, I've lost 9 pounds since joining here 10 days ago. I don't expect to lose that much all the time but hey, it's a start! Good luck to both of you
