Rep Power: 0 | | | I am here to help Hi, my name is Jayson Hunter and I am a Registered Dietitian who specializes in weight loss. I will probably take a few days to look around and see where I may be able to help and provide advice.
I look forward to helping as many of you as I can.

Have you heard where eating greens like leafy green lettuce can help with achy joints. What about olive oil or other oils? Do they help too? A friend a co-worker mentioned it. She broke her wrist and had stiffness and pain until she started eating salads everyday.
I'm curious if you've heard or know anything about it. I've been having trouble with my hip and knee. They're weak and achy. I'm obese too, so that I'm sure that plays a role. I'm in my mid-40's and I've had problems with my right leg off and on since a bad fall on the ice about 15 years ago. I did notice that day after eating a Ceaser salad that my leg didn't bother me nearly as much. I'm not big on salads, but if they help... |

Rep Power: 18 | | | I'm setting the over/under of 18 posts before we never see this guy again. The only reason i went so high is because I'm sure he will try to defend himself on here before he gives up.
So what does everyone think, over or under 18 posts?

Rep Power: 18 | | I'm sure you would agree with me on this that we are not really critical of experts, we are just critical of people coming on here with motives other than helping someone. I actually wasted 10 minutes of my life looking at his website. Any RD that promotes fast weight loss is sketchy in my book. There have been many experts on this site with no intentions other than helping someone on their own time. Hey, maybe I'm wrong assuming this guy isnt going to stick around but we'll see.

Matt | I'm no expert, but I do find joy in helping others, and will gladly ask my personal trainer any questions anyone has. |

Rep Power: 217 | | There are very well meaning people who do come here and try to help - young Steve was one of them... and this tend to be a bit of a cynical crowd and take nothing at face value... Experts have to prove their knowledge and they might even get a little hazing at the start... if they survive - great - we're happy to have them - but to step up at post 3 and call themselves and expert -they are going to be called on something |

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow, I joined this forum with the sincere intention of helping people on this forum, but I see I have had the door shut before you could even learn what I have had to offer.
I guess that is the problem with many of these forums. You try to do something good for people and you are accused of false intentions.
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to prove myself that I am sincere in my intention of helping you.
It is clear that you hold grudges against experts in the weight loss field.
Maybe you have been burned one too many times or maybe you just know it all and don't need my help.
I guess I will be moving on to a forum that would like my help and utilize my 10+ years of working with individuals to achieve weight loss.
I don't want anyone here feel like I am trying to force myself on you. I get satisfaction from helping people that want to be helped. It is obvious that those on this forum would rather be cynical rather then be helped by someone that is qualified to help them.
Apparently I found the wrong forum for that.
Good luck in your weight loss endeavors.
Yours in health,
Jayson

I was simply amused by the title you had given yourself is all. I still am.
That said, you have to look at things through the eyes of the forum and the experienced members who have been around the block a few times. This forum is extremely popular among the search engines. It has a lot of members and a lot of traffic. This brings a lot of 'gurus' looking to pitch snake oil and/or with the sole intent of fattening their wallets at the expense of the ignorant.
This happens numerous times PER DAY.
So when you have someone coming in here titling himself the way you have, you're setting yourself up for it to be honest.
If you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen.
I was once a newcomer here. I liked to think of myself as an expert. I never titled myself as such though. I simply applied my advice/knowledge where I saw fit. I didn't expect others to come to me. I went to them and helped where I could. People gave me shit too. I simply didn't care. Figured if I remained honest and truly reached people, sooner or later they'd come around.
Hopefully you can see why the red carpet isn't laid out for someone of your so called caliber. We've seen one too many. The ones who are worth listening too invariably stick around through the initial period and wind up being solid members.
It's your choice which direction you take.
And yes, I still am amused by your title. |

Rep Power: 0 | | I can understand where you are coming from, but regardless of if you have been burned before you should at least give the person a chance.
My 10+ years of experience helping people with weight loss allows me to say I am a trusted weight loss expert. I pride myself on people being able to trust that I will give them solid straight information.
I don't expect everyone to come to me, but I expect to be treated with respect as I have done so to those on this forum. Until someone does something fishy they should be innocent until proven guilty.
I have no problem earning your respect and trust as long as I am given a fair shot.
Given the posts in this thread they have indicated that my help is not wanted. Maybe it is a knee jerk reaction because of others who have betrayed you.
I will even provide a gesture of good faith and remove that title.
Time will tell if we can treat each other with respect.
Jayson
