Time to change!

Hello Guys!
Im new to this forum and as well as to serious weight loss.
First of all about myself a bit. Im 16 and ive recently joined Bally total fitness to work out a bit before i go to europe for a vacation this summer.
Im 5'10" and weight 196lbs, cause im an endomorph
today was my first day at ballys, last week i weighed 205lbs. for about watching my diet for 3 days and going to bally's once for 2 hrs, i lost 9lbs! Thats like incredible for me cause i could not brake the 200lb barrier for a long time.
Ive read a bit about my body type, it says that im good at gaining fat as well as quickly gaining muscle. Before i was hungry all the time, now after practically starving for 3 days i dont want to eat at all, food is like not a factor for me anymore. I read that i need small meals throughout the day, so i eat little portions 2-3 hours apart.
One question i have though, i was at this store once and it had a scale, i saw this lady which was taller and had more body mass then me, she stepped on the scale and it showed 160lbs, im smaller and i weight 200!! why is that? ive been athleticly active in sports throughout my life, playing stuff, and i do look fat a bit, i can still keep up with the crowd and do better then some other people. could it be muscle?
well i am seriously into this, i also lifted some dumbels for a couple of days, and i see a big increase in my hand muscle mass, that fast, is that one of the advantages of an endomorph?
thanks!
sorry to make you read alot

Thumbs up

Hello 3DFlyer, Congrats on the 9 lb drop!!!

The reason you probably feel you're not as hungry anymore, could be because your stomach has shrunk. BUT take this as a grain of salt plz, I may not have that right, but coming from a person whom has starved themselves on and off for a few years, a person can starve themselves and than when they eat again, they cannot eat as much because their stomach shrinks. This isn't permanent of course, if you wanted to expand it, eat more.

I know that is not what you're doing. I too eat many smaller meals throughout the day.

Your weight and her weight are different because of a few things, Sex (male or Female), Height, Frame, Smaller or Bigger Boned (Bone Mass), Age, Muscle, ect..

Hope you get the support you're looking for, Take Care

Welcome to the forum!

I hope you're careful with what you're eating -- and eating enough. Starving yourself to lose weight will work...... until you don't anymore, because your body will want to keep every calorie you feed it. It has to be a balance of what you eat versus what you burn -- that's really the secret.

If you're eating within the calorie range that you should be, the lack of hunger (rather than starvation) could be two-fold -- your body could be getting used to the amount of food your feeding it. It could also be if you're eating every 3 hours that your body is just finished with it's food when you feed it again, so there is no reason to be starving.

Also, if you were eating a lot of sugary foods, for some people (like me) once you get past the addiction (it's like an addiction), the hunger highs and lows level off and it takes longer for me to be hungry.

Be safe and good luck on your journey!
