I have lost a lot of weight with a lot of help from this forum (down to 9stone now from 21stone).
The only practical way of doing it is with exercise and healthy eating. There are lots of sticky threads that can help you with that.
You can count your
calories and check up on your other
nutrition using a free account from

If you start a diary and visit other people's diaries you will build up a network of friends that can help with ideas and keep you motivated.
Some people find that joining a challenge can help with the motivation and building a support network too. I am running a challenge called Summer Shake Up and you would be more than welcome to join in there.
