This morning I happened to stumble onto this website- I feel as if this is really going to help me and give me the support I need. I know my weight gain is due mostly to my unhappy life- I am tired of playing the victim. I am ready to take charge of my life and take responsibility for my choices past and present. It is time I step up and quit blaming and depending on other people for my happiness. I am committing to walking everyday for 1 hour. I am committing to give up Dr. Pepper ( I gave it up for Lent and saw it all the way through) I know I can do it. I am going to eat healthy hopefully 1200 calories a day. I am tired of being embarrased about my weight,appearance, and physical inability to do things with my son. I want to be running by July. Not walking- I want to get a job and quit being soley dependant on my husband. I want to be free and have some independance...

Great attitude there! Its a hard consept, i know, but accepting totally responsiblity w/ your weight is what we all need to do. ITs easy to blame others and I applaud you for your attitude!

Ditto to all your reasons for starting a new lifestyle! I am in the same boat and starting on what I know will be a long journey. I am sick of the many restrictions my weight puts on my life and need to change. We can do it!

Thank you to everyone for their support- I know that this is going to be lifechanging, long journey. I am ready to start... tonight I walked for 1 hour I have decided to weigh once a week. What are thoughts on weighing and weight watchers i.e. meetings?
