You need to separate your own weight issues from those of your husband. He might never be able to address his problems - and you are letting that have an impact on your own project - which has a direct bearing on the state of your own health into the future...

You can encourage him to act - and can be ready with advice and support if he decides to do so. The bottom line is that many of us know that the motivation to lose weight has to come from within. You cannot impose it on your husband - just as I cannot impose it on my husband.

My husband has been told that he needs to lose 209 pounds to bring his weight into the "healthy" range and he is the age his father was when he died from a heart attack due to obesity. It is not that I do not understand the worry that you have over your husband's health.

In order to get that vital support element - I suggest that you start a diary. Also see who visits and visit them back in their diary and leave a message. You may want to visit a few diaries up front too to see whether they visit you back. You thus start chatting and make friends.

You can also join challenges and get chatting to the folk there.

These strategies helped me to make friends and thus build that vital support network.

Good luck with your project.
