Unhappy NEw and Needing motivation

TODAY RIGHT NOW IS MY BACK ON TRACK I find myself saying that again and again and then...FAILURE! I have been on the SureSlim program for 3 wks now and have maintained the 50 odd pounds I want to lose...haven't shed a single one and I continue to abuse the diet and get off track. I know what I need to do I just...can't seem to wrap my mind around doing it!

Hi there.

I don't know anything about the Sure Slim plan, but if you are having a hard time sticking to the diet, then it's possible that it's just not the diet for you.

I personally really dislike the idea of going on a diet plan, because it doesn't give you any guidance for actually learning how to eat and how to maintain that loss. It is the whole "go on" and "go off" mentality.

Maybe instead of trying to follow a diet, you can investigate plain old healthy eating? I'd suggest signing up for a free account at fitday.com or thedailyplate.com and logging your food. It'll let you see how many calories you're gettin and how your nutrition is lining up. That might help you to move forward w/out being on a "diet" per se.

Cool The plan

Thanks so much for the feedback. In response to your question re: the plan it is actually a healthy eating plan. I eat protien, and veggies at every meal I keep my carbohydrate intake low approx 14 grams and make it complex ie whole grain bread, I eat 2 fruits per day 1 must be an apple for the benefits it holds and then from there I introduce the more starchy foods back into my diet once I am on track. It's a "for life" plan so I never go "off" it. I simply reintroduce foods that tend to be the instegators in over eating. The plan is not hard to stick to at all. Im not really sure what my problem is. I'll be having a FANTASTIC day and then boom I want a starbucks blueberry bar and I go and have one. It's like theres no self control and I just get really down when I feel like Im trying to be good and I just give in all the time

Hey Wanting2Bslim
Well done for getting back on track! I also stomped my foot about seven weeks ago and promised myself that I would 'clean up my act'... and, as they say, so far so good!

I am very familiar with the Sureslim plan... it's actually very similar to the Cohens plan (you hear a lot about Cohens here... seems very popular and effective! - pretty much like Sureslim)

I have done a couple of things to keep me focused...
1. Come to the realisation that this is not a 'diet'... this is healthy eating... and this is what your body needs to stay healthy and keep you alive.
2. Joined a gym and I go every day.
3. When I first made my decision to get healthy I got my hubby to take a couple of photos of me... I put on a pair of gym pants and a bra type top... leaving a very fat and flabby tubby in full sight. I put this photo onto my phone and my computer... and everytime I feel like deviating off my plan I first have to look at my photo... let me tell you my appetite quickly goes away!!

So... my advice is... sit down and work out exactly why you want to do this... and decide what you need to do to keep focused (believe me... my fat photos are pretty much all I need)... and put your head down and do it!

Best of luck!!!!
