Rep Power: 0 | | | Here we goooooo! Hello everyone. My name is Theresa. I am a wife and mother of 3. I have been pretty slim and fit all of my life. I gained about 20 pounds after having my first 2 kids than when pregnant with my last I became ill. I gained 47lbs in 10 days due to the condition I had. Most of the weight was water weight but I have not been able to shed the extra pounds since i recovered. My metabolism has completely changed. I have no energy at all. I use to feel so good after working out now it just wipes me out. I have been keeping a food dairy for about a month. I exercise 3 to 4 days a week. I take dance once a week. I live a very active life style. My baby will be 1 in 17 days and I'm still carrying around all this baby weight (Sad, tears). I have decided that this has to be a life style change. I keep looking up all this information on dieting and exercise and diet pills but I am so tired of medicine and pills. i want to do this as naturally as possible. I can use all the help and advice one has to give. I will be posting my first picture today. I currently weigh 193 (Wow, that was so hard to type). I am 5'8. My goal weight is 145. |

Rep Power: 12 | | When you say you're tracking your food intake, do you track by calories? Using something like fitday.com? Or do you just write down whatever you eat and guestimate on portions and such like that? I wonder if you're over eating.. or worse yet under eating and that is why you feel wiped out all the time.
Sometimes, if you've just begun a new workout routine it can take your body a bit to adjust to the new schedule and to really feel the positive impact it has. If you've been at it for a month and its still really taking a toll on you (and you're getting sufficient calories) then I'd suggest you talk to a doctor. Maybe its an underlying medical condition that needs treatment.
Whatever you do, don't get discouraged. Perseverance is key. |

Rep Power: 72 | | Hi and welcome.
I also am wondering how you're tracking your food.
For me, I find that my eating is much better and I feel better when I work on keeping processed foods out of my eating. I try to eat as many fresh and natural foods as possible and really watch to make sure I'm not eating a lot of chemicals, preservatives, etc.
It's tough sometimes, but when I follow through, it really does help me feel better. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi! I take a multivitamin because I am anemic. Well, a few weeks ago I simply got out of the habit of taking one. The next thing I knew I was so extremely tired no matter what. Then I realized i hadn't been taking my vitamin. So now I've been taking it for a week so far again and I'm feeling much better. Maybe it could be just that simple for you too. Don't be hard on yourself - afterall, you are chasing around a 1 yr. old all day. No wonder you are tired! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I log my food intake and exercise with a (loss it) app on my iphone. A multivitamin sounds like a good idea, thanks Happycamper. Kara, I have never just ate all natural and unprocessed foods before. I have read alot about the benefits of doing so. That's something I'm going to look into. Thank you all! |

Thank you all! | A multivitamin is good.. but you should check with your physician before taking anything above and beyond that IMO. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
