Newbie!

Hi everyone!!

My story--

I've always been overweight. For as long as I can remember I was the "fatter" of all of my friends. Through highschool I kept my weight at about 175-180, but was still relatively healthy. After highschool I began working and lost about 15 pounds.

Then, I got pregnant. Not once, not twice, but three times. In a row. My first two children are 13 months apart, and my second are 18 months apart. After my last son was born I was at 232.

My son was born in December of 2007. In March of 2008 my husband deployed for a year to Kosovo with the Missouri National Guard. While he was gone I changed my entire lifestyle. I ate better and I actually stopped making a dent on the couch and made use of my treadmill. I'm very proud to say that I went from 232 to 185 in a matter of seven months.

In March of 2009 my husband came home to a newer, skinnier wife. However, my darling husband didn't change his lifestyle while he was deployed and at my plateau I was easily influenced to eat horribly. For the past eight months.

So now, here I am. Hilariously enough I'm at 232 again.

Now my problem mainly is motivation. Motivation to eat well and motivation to get off my butt and get active again. I know I can do it because I have before, but I can't help but be discouraged that I'm relosing the weight I should have never gained back.

I plan to give myself one more day until I start busting my butt. On Monday I fully intend to begin c25k again, and begin the 30-day shred on my off days. I'm hoping to keep my calories at or around 1700 calories.

Wish me luck?

Wishing you luck

I can relate. I too had lost the weight many times. Most recently within last 15 months and it felt wonderful. I was at my adult best. I had actually just wrote to another about how difficult it is when my family expects me to cook them the same meals I always have. I enjoy cooking greatly and the praise I get from them is great but my style which is down home country cooking doesnt fit a weight loss lifestyle. I couldnt get them to alter thier eating if I paid them so I continue to challenge my willpower every evening at dinner time. I have 55 pounds to lose. Similiar to you. We can do it.
