Rep Power: 0 | | A healthy diet and a good exercise routine go a long way in your weight loss effort. As to exercise options, it depends on what shape you are in. My belief is that if you can walk, you can lose weight. Taking long walks will be a good start.

Do you think that the rate of weight-loss is increased when you combine a lower calorie intake and exercise( e.g. being on a diet alone for 3 months and diet+exrecise) and if so, by how much would you estimate it? Thanks in advance, J |

I hope you're not thinking to lose more than 17 til then and follow crappy diets, because you'll lose muscle instead of fat and the weight will come again as soon as you stop... |

It's healthy to loose 1 ou 2 pounds a week, so calculate how much you'll need.
And yes, the best combination is to decrease your calorie intake and increase your exercise.
But do never go under 1200 kcal a day. How do you know how much you should eat? It depends on your body details and your life. There's calculators all over the web. |
