Hello, everyone! I just started dieting and exercising on 9-10-06. I'm 5 foot 3 inches and weigh 200 pounds. My goal is to lose 50 pounds and finally see 150 again (also see my feet again, LOL!)
So far, I am walking 2 miles a day (outside), and am working up to adding the treadmill, and other exercises (including sweating to the oldies).
You and I started out in the same spot (except I'm 5'2"). You can do it! I have always wanted to try the Sweating to the Oldies...I love that music Is that the Richard Simmons one? He cracks me up.
You have a good attitude; I'm sure you will make it all the way to your goal.
dariqueen, yes, that's the first Richard Simmons one. I've done it before and love that tape! You said we started in the same weight spot, how are you doing on yours?
What got me going was I saw an old home movie and a new home movie one right after the other. OMG!!!

I've just lost my first 10lbs. It's taken since August 1st. Slower than I was hoping for, but it's been steady, which keeps my motivation up!
Check out the before and after section; I just found a thread by someone (I'll add her name once I find it again) who put up pics of herself in a bikini at about 150 lbs, which is my current goal weight. I can't wait to look like that! She's given me even more inspiration to keep going!
