Smile New as of tonight

I just found this site and i am very excited.. it seems like a great support system... I need that bad. I am 32, and eat out of bordome, depression, lonliness, I was once 140 and was even happy when i was 165... cause im tall... but i have managed to blow up to 243... my daughter calls me BIG MOMMA... and i so want to loose weight... i just find it hard now to resist food. I use to also be a gym freak... work out 3 times a day... now my workout is my fingers typing on the net... so.. I hope setting a goal. and being here for support maybe I can find what im looking for... God bless to all
Julie

Hello and welcome!

I can relate too well to eating from boredom / depression etc. I used to use food as a sort of mood enhancer.

I think I was suffering sugar crashes quite often. I'm now a big fan of cutting sugar out of the diet. If you can steer clear of sugary drinks and snacks you're going to find it a lot easier to reach your goals, and I found that once a few weeks had passed, I didn't really crave the sugar anymore! I couldn't quite believe it at first, and now when someone offers me something sugary I just tell them I'm trying to avoid it.
