Billy's Lean Body Quest

Hi Everyone-
I'm new to this weight loss forum but not to weight loss. The last time I set out to lose weight I lost about 60 Lbs, but unfortunately I gained most of it back because I lost motivation, got distracted, and just plain got lazy.

I know about nutrition, I know about exercise, and I know what works and what doesn't for the most part. This time, it's my mental attitude that needs to change. This time, I will remind myself of the reasons I am doing this. This time, I will be prepared for the initial motivation to wear off. This time, I will not feel deprived or take pity on myself. And most importantly, this time, I WILL succeed, and I WILL keep it off.

Anyway, that's my story. I've decided to start a blog about what I am calling my "Lean Body Quest". Please check it out, because nobody is reading it and I think it would motivate both me and whoever reads it if they did. So, check it out: http://leanbodyquest.blogspot.com/

Thanks!
Billy

Hi Billy, I have read part of your blog and I have to say your goals and some of the stuff you mention sound a lot like my story. I too need to get down to 190lbs and I am also around 30% bodyfat, but at 5'7" I weight 225 now. Also have lost weight in the past only to loose motivation and gain my weight back. I am glad I found this forum, I hope to draw inspiration from the numerous successfull people here.

Stay focous and keep doing it!

Thanks Luey:
Have you ever read "Lose Fat, Not Faith" by Jeremy Likness? That's one of the best books I've read for motivation, the weight loss stuff is pretty standard. But I like the way he emphasizes how important your attitude, etc. is. Good luck!

Yeah, my problem last time was that I met a girl, and yada yada yada, I got fat again. Nothing like being single and bored to help you stick to your plan
Well, she's gone and I'm back at it. Except last time I never reached my goal. I got down to about 213 lbs or so, so I never found out what it felt like to really be lean and strong and fat-less.
But this time I WILL!

Billy, your blog looks solid. Ironically, you choose the EXACT same style of my blog, doing the same thing. If you want, check mine out and I'll bookmark yours as well. If you want to leave comments, I'll do the same. Anything to help withi the motivation.
