Red face Another Newbie, need support buddies!!!

Hey everyone, my name is Kalie, i just stumbled upon this website and like what i saw, it seems very active and thats what i need, i started January 1st with my new years resolution of losing weight and eating healthier! I started at 203 and no as of this morning i am 196, 7 pounds in 6 days i think thats pretty darn good, did you all lose a lot in the beginning then tapor off??? My biggest chaallenge is that i love food, and i can eat more than most men i think LOL Ive been working out at the gym everynight for an hour for the last week and been sticking to a healthy eating plan! im excited to share my progress with you all and see your progress as well, if anyone wants to be support buddies please let me know, i could definitly use some motivation at times!!! Welcome! It sounds like you're off to a great start!

And to answer your question: yes - many of us started off with crazy high weight loss for the first couple of weeks. This means that you'll probably slow down to 2-3 lbs/week here soon. Most of the first weight is water weight which will come back just as fast if you go back to your old ways.

But be encouraged! You're right on track, and when you see your weight loss slow down, know that it's to be expected. A lot of people get discouraged in the 3rd week and quit.
