Rep Power: 0 | | Herbal Magic Yikes Hi, I am new to this forum. I'm typical of a lot of people this time of year looking to make some changes in my weight. I thought I would check out Herbal Magic, I was shocked at the cost of this program. I had no idea what was involved, so was completely taken aback at the pressure to join and what it would cost me to complete "my" program. When I came home I figued it out that it would cost me over $3000 to even reach my goal, which they estimated would take about 10 months. Anyway I've decided to try this on my own and found this forum where I feel I can get the support I need to help me be successful. |

Rep Power: 79 | | there is no magic pill or potion that will burn calories, if you just stop eating them then you will loose weight for free
This doesnt mean you have to starve however, or even go without your favourites. Just eating them in moderation.
Try signing up at fitday.com or sparkpeople.org to find out how many calories you use in a day and then eat less than you use. its pretty simple method and seems to be popular here and works

Rep Power: 10 | | Wishes is correct, there is no silver bullet to get rid of the fat. Most fad diets will allow you to lose weight, but then you will put it right back on. Figure out your maintenance calorie level based on your activity and deduct 20-25% from there and incorporate cardio and strenght training and you will be good to go. Be careful using fitday to calculate calories. Their activity factors seem to be off and will give you bogus numbers, however they are awesome for tracking your food intake. |

Rep Power: 79 | | Ive never had a problem with their activity factors, they do vary depending on how much you weigh however. ie a larger person uses more calories doing 1 hour walk than a skinny person. Unlike a lot of sites that just choose xxx amount no matter what you weigh. |

Rep Power: 10 | | They may have fixed it then. Thank you for the info. I know when I first started there, it was way off for me. |
