the main problem is that you are using the html code, you need to use the BBCode for tickers and forums

Here's hoping

Thank you so much for replying. It was sooo nice to have someone respond. Makes me feel like i am not on my own. I have gone through the motions but have a funny feeling this ticker still isn't happening. I must have forgotten something.

thanks saintjilly

Hey thanks. I must admit I have not been a user of forum's or chat rooms, so this is such a learning curve. I am not really sure how these threads work, and I seem to get lost. I am not sure if this message is going to the right person or not. I hope you are all patient with me until I fathom how to work this out.
kind regards

Hi everyone

I'm new here too. I just started the C25K running program and writing a blog at extrapounds. My main concern is getting fit and improving my health, it's a bonus that I'll look better too

Good luck to us all!

Hey peoples, I am not finding this as easy as the first time around. Even though I just know that its what I want to do, but hey I just seem to sabotage myself.
I suppose I need to read my program again. I was just wondering if all you guy's on this forum are doing the Cohens? or other diets?

thanks for this information. I think the point you make about potions sizes is particularly useful. I think its my biggest challenge.

hey yall just joined, 25 yr old female. So I stepped on the scale today and I don't know how but it was 160lbs, not sure if i'm just retaining water or what not because usually it is about 152lbs, so I wanted to start today and get fit and healthy again. I used to be 135 about 2 years ago but since then my weight has fluctuated back and forth, this time I want to get on the right track and stay there. Any ideas or advice? I also think this results in my over eating due to stress or sometimes even boredum...and it makes me very upset that I let myself go

Boredom & Comfort eating are the downfall of many a weight loss programme. When bored bypass the fridge and use the time to exercise instead, go for a walk or do something in the garden..or if bad weather do some energetic housework!! As for stress or comfort eating (or failure to bypass fridge on 1st trip!!) then make sure your fridge always has low cal BUT enjoyable snacks in there ready..ie cubed melon, grapes berries or prepared veggie snacks like carrots, celery etc and go for those instead!!

Hi Everyone! I just joined today. I have been a 4 month member at my gym and am getting frustrated. I've lost about 20 pounds since joining, but I'm stuck! I don't know what else I can do. I try stepping my workouts up a level as soon as they get "comfortable" but I am just a big frame with lots of muscle. I want and need to slim down my body. I really just need some support and will power to change my eating habits. I could do so much better if I just changed that!
I am really hoping that reading all these wonderful successes and challenges helps me along! Thanks and Good Luck to everyone.
