Hello! Newbie here

Hi there all
I'm new to this board, hoping to share and recieve some much needed encouragement for this weight loss journey. I am 24 years old and am newly engaged, hoping to get to my goal before my wedding which is in 2 years. Wish me luck!

OOH boy ..good luck to you..I did that to myself before I got married..I think I must have gone and tried on my dress several times..i was all worried how i would look in it. Just remember that getting married is stressful enough..dont put too much undue pressure on you... just be realistic. We are all going thru the same thing though..trying to work off the wt..good luck

We are looking at summer of 2007 so I have plenty of time. Right now I am at 195 pounds 5"4 I am hoping to get to my original size of 130, I was hoping 65 pounds is do-able...well not hoping but I KNOW its do-able!!

Sounds like you have the right attitude! You can do it if you really put your mind to it. What helps me is to take my diet one day at a time (don't worry about the rest of the week or even tommorrow, just think about today). If your having a hard day just take it one hour at a time. What type of diet are you thinking about?

I am just going to eat healthier and smaller portions, no junk food which is one of my major weaknesses. Also, MUCH more excercise. I not only want to lose weight for my wedding but for the rest of my life, so I figure I just have to teach myself that eating healthier and excercising more is a good thing!
