Hello all! Found this site when looking for some motivational support for loosing weight and I came across you all. Looks like a good community that really has the determination for becoming healthier.

A little about me:

My name is Josh and I have been struggling with weight gain for a couple years. Recently I saw a picture of myself that a friend sent me and I was horrified at how much I let myself go. If you can imagine it, I used to be a dancer in my high school years. I attended the Baltimore School for the Arts and I enjoyed my "profession". I used to weight 160 back then and by dancer terms thats still considered over weight. I think my weight gain started during my senior year when I was struck by a car, and that preety much ended my dancing career. After that I just didnt care anymore and continuly ate because it made me feel less depressed. I got married about a year after that incident to my HS girlfriend. We had a son together who is now 2 and a half years old and is the best thing I have ever done. My wife would always nag me about my weight but I brushed it off. Eventually my wife left me because of the dramtic weight gain, amongst other reasons. I feel into a deep depression after we got divorced and started self medicating to mask the pain I felt, this included eating more and illegal drug use. I blew up to an incredible 260 pounds! and then it just seemed like one day things started to click with me. I stopped the drugs, stopped lying to myself about my weight situation and decided to better myself for the three of us. I have been dieting for about two weeks now and I honestly feel so much healthier. Its a really great feeling. Thats preety much the short version about me

I look forward to interacting with all of you and sharing my own stories of success. Thanks for taking the time to read this and happy dieting!
