Smile need to lose a lot of weight....

Hey, my name is Miranda and I used to be a cutter, I overcame the addiction and before I wasn't particularly thin, but ever since I quit, I gained alot of weight, almost 60 pounds. I need to lose the 60 pounds I gained, and maybe some of the weight I had before.

Hey..welcome.
I think the best thing to do is realize to do it right and for good..you need to make sure you've got your head right as to why your doing it. If your doing it for you..and to be healthy you're on the right track. I would recommend keeping a food diary, keeping an exercise diary, important also to find out what your Body mass index is, as well as your Resting metabolic rate..you can find these out at your doc office or www.bodybuilding.com there are calculators there that are quite simple. I personally have about 70 to 80 to lose...I am currently exercising 45min to 1 hr a day, as well as just not sitting still when Im home, I am walking, hiking, rock climbing...whatever I can do that i enjoy and I am doing some weights... I also am starting tennis tonight..so its all individual..but its a mind set that it needs to be about you and your health..and most important changing your body fat percentage and increasing your lean muscle..not really about the weight as much as that. Good luck!
Kathy
