are you recording accurately your daily calories? how many are you taking in for the day?

Bread -- see if there's a good bakery near you, and get loaves of whole grain bread (not whole wheat), and eat that instead. Some whole grain breads taste awful, but we have a bakery that does it just right.
Pasta - Try eating whole wheat pasta instead of white pasta. It takes a bit longer to cook, but it's much better for you.
Potatoes - OK, but mostly an empty starch. Try substituting squash.
It's not that you can't ever eat white bread, white pasta, and potatoes -- just make them more of a "cheat" meal than a regular item. |

Rep Power: 42 | | | Thanx TomO for your advice. I do eat wholemeal pasta, and I try to keep the skins on my potatoes. As for the bread, I eat Nimble wholemeal. |

try using a program like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to help keep track of your calories -just make sure you are accurately measuring portion sizes... one cup of pasta isn't a lot... (a restaurant size portion of pasta is generally 4 -5 cups of pasta)
