Rep Power: 0 | | | How is this for breakfast? I tried this Metabolic Reset Chocolate Shake yesterday for breakfast, and by no means was it the best tasting, but it tasted good enough. It keeps me full and at lunch time I don't over-eat.
Look here for the nutrition content: here
With almost no sugar, lots of fiber and protein, what could be wrong? I don't really think that I am using this to lose weight, but it has the fiber that I need, and I buy double fiber bread so those two things help me a lot to get my fiber.
Also, how bad is it to have sausage for breakfast? I plan on having this shake on MWF and having 2 sausage patties on Tuesday and Thursday (well until I get tired of them...sometimes I can only stand eating one and part of the other). I just get that bob evans sausage patties that you warm up in the microwave. It has like 5g of saturated fat, but since it's in the morning, does that really matter? I am forced to work out on Tuesdays and Thursdays anyways. |

Rep Power: 217 | | Sausage once in a while won't kill you - in fact if you factor it into your lifestyle change then it really doesn't leave you missing anything... 2x a week might not be a bad thing either.. as long as you're eating right the rest of the meals.
I'm not a fan of drink supplements as meal replacements...I would miss the satisfaction factor of real food.. and it's also very low calorie for a meal replacement...
the label may say Metabolic replacement but - don't expect magic outof a can - what will help with your metabolism, is eating properly, strenght training and moving...
7 grams of fiber isn't really all that high - you can get more fiber than that in some cereals...
So as a breakfast - I'm thinking that it's not the greatest thing int he world for you.. |

I used to eat Kashi Honey Almond Flax cereal and you're right, i think it had 8g of fiber, but I had so much of that so I'm tired of cereals and I need something I can eat very quickly. |

Rep Power: 10 | | | It does say you could blend in some fruit, so if you are going to drink it, so why don't you put a banana in the blender with the shake mix? Do you take this with soy or other milks? You can really up the nutritional value just by adding some stuff like that, and the calorie intake will not go up that much. And you'll probably stay full longer. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Yea, just adding the banana to the shake sounds like a great idea! I usually just use 1/2% milk. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I also hate cereal, so when I make my morning shake I add some benefiber to it. Each serving is only adding 2-3 grams, but anything helps. I also add it to my water sometimes. It really is tasteless and disolves pretty well, sometimes I see some sludge in the bottom, but i'm a bad mixer. |

Rep Power: 6 | | | Breakfast (6:00am) - 1 cup (before cooking) of 5min oatmeal with scoop of a whey / casein protein mix, 16oz water and a piece of fruit. The perfect breakfast. Remember to eat again at about 9:00 - 10:00am.
