Rep Power: 0 | | It's not good to eat the same thing everyday, so I switch between a few options. Either 1 egg with 1/2c of whites and spinach omlette, or a serving of Quinoa flakes (Quinoa flakes are a whole grain - it has a very high protien content and so it releases itself into your body over many hours and keeps you feeling satisfied - and is very low in calories), and if I'm on the run and I have no time to cook I'll grab a 1c container of 1% milkfat cottage cheese (Thats my last choice though, because of its sodium content). None of them are over 200 calories - and they keep me feeling full until mid afternoon! |

Rep Power: 7 | | | I make oatmeal in the morning with the regular oats (not quick cooking) and put in 1/3 banana and a TB of craisens. Heat it up with the fruit in it. Then add cinnamon and a tsp or two of brown sugar. Heating the bananas mushes them up and really flavors the whole bowl. Its delicious. If i don't have craisens i'll throw in a handful of blueberries but I don't like heating those up.
Otherwise I go with a cup of cereal (various combinations) and 1/2 cup light plain soymilk or nonfat yogurt with 1/4 cup cereal and a bunch of fresh fruit. Oh and i usually have a 1/2 small grapefruit with whatever I make. |

So when I'm on a peanut butter kick, I'll go through a jar in 2-3 weeks, and only the bottom inch or so stiffens up. |

Rep Power: 7 | | I'm not a morning person, so during the week I don't have a lot of time for breakfast before work. Often, I have to throw it in a sack and take it with me. So... I usually eat dry whole-grain cereal of some kind with fresh fruit. Occasionally I'll have low- fat cottage cheese with pineapple or peaches. Usually one weekend day I'll splurge and have scrambled eggs either with whole wheat toast or rolled up in a tortilla. I've been meaning to try oatmeal again (haven't had it in years) but I haven't gotten around to it yet. My plan is to top it with some slivered almonds and a few raisins. We'll see how that goes. |

I won't touch Skippy or Peter Pan and when she sees me spooning PB in my mouth she'll say..."You are SO weird." and I just laugh and say.."I know, right?" LOL. She doesn't know what REAL peanut butter tastes like. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I've never been a breakfast person. Honestly, eating as soon as I get up used to make me physically ill. Now that I've started eating better, I tried to find something that would fit into my time constraints and I've settled on a Muscle Milk shake in the morning. I work at a kennel walking dogs and cleaning the property so I need something to keep me going. I like that it keeps me full until I get to my mid morning snack. Usually a piece of whole wheat toast with PB and bananas. Delicious. |

Rep Power: 9 | | | If oatmeal doesn't seem to have enough flavor for you, maybe you could top it with some unsweetened applesauce and a tablespoon or two of chopped nuts to make it go down more pleasantly? | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
