Rep Power: 0 | | | Instant noodles? So, I was doing some grocery shopping today, and I came across a huge wall of instant noodles.
I looked through them a bit, and found one brand, just labeled "Cup Noodles".
I found a good looking flavor, for only 300 calories a cup.
I read through all of the information, and nothing looked really bad.
So, I bought a few cups.
Could eating a cup for lunch every now and then hurt me?
I read somewhere that it's just the broth that's left over that is bad?
Should I just avoid the broth?
Thanks, guys.

the noodles are deep fried
and dehydated
the flavor packet is pure sodium..

Well, I ate a cup today, but I suppose I'll stop eating them before I even get started.
Thank you.

We need a balance between enjoying life and weight balancing. This is an art too. Don't feel guilty if you just occasionally enjoys some junkies... I am around by lots of junkies but I try not to eat them everyday but SOMETIMES you have eat some just for pleasure!

Well, I'll remember not to eat those so often.
You are right, though. You have to treat yourself every now and then.
Thanks!

Rep Power: 18 | | | Once I read the packet of ramen I was eating and it actually said "For less MSG use half a packet of seasoning"
I thought that was classic.
I love ramen though - I cook one package without the seasoning, and drain the water to just use the noodles. Then I top it with some teriyaki chicken. Yum! I generally try to only eat 1/2 of the noodles because the whole package is 400 calories. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I used to eat noodles on and often thinking that if Chinese, Koreans and other Asians can eat it everyday as staple diet then it might be good. Because People from that part of world hardly seem fat. But after reading the replies here, I will stop eating it often. I think Asians eat home made noodles not the packaged one that's why it won't affect their health adversely. |

Most of them don't really eat home made noodles actually, they buy those packaged ones but they are different from the usual instant noodles. The noodles that they eat as staple diet are more healthier type of noodles. This seems to be a very confusing reply lol, I hope you understand what I am trying to say |

Rep Power: 9878 | | | I would really try and stay away from those things. They were made for convenience not health. From what I know to be able to preserve them the way they do, is they are loaded with sodium. So i say stay away. Its a safer way I think. |
