Im all about nutrition now so wanted to post

this here as well. Can anyone tell me if it is unusual for me to not have lost one single lb in 13 days? I will give you all the info I can to help anyone that might be able to answer.

I am 55, 5'2", 137, small/petite bone-structure. My normal weight is 110 but it shot up when I quit smoking at 33. I have never really tried til now, to lose that extra weight. I do understand about the muscle, fat, and water weight differences so I am not sure with my walking and floor exercises, some bowflex also, how much I will actually weigh. I just want to be in proportion again and healthy as possible.

I went from about 3000 calories a day with lots of fats mixed in, well over the 20-25 I shoot for now. I am at 1200-1300 cal with 20% fat. I cut out sugar and haven't done any fruit or juices as I was worried about the sugars in that. Also, no salt, use Mrs. Dash. My diet I believe is balanced. I will put a typlical day below so someone with knowledge might tell me if I am doing wrong in some areas. I am getting discouraged at not losing even 1 lb. I was told I would lose about a lb per week, and here it is, 13 days

Oats.....................................113...... .........80
Sugars, Brown...........................9................3 4
Walnuts...................................30...... .......210
Coffee.................................. 237 ................2
Coffee-mate Powder..................12................60
SPLENDA...................................2....... .........10
Flax Bread................................41........... ....100
Raisins.....................................14.... ............42
Butter Spray..............................1.............. ....0
Celery - Raw...........................120................1 9
Sargento Light String Cheese.......21................50
Ritz Crackers.............................16........... .....80
Beef, Chuck, Tender Steak...........85..............136
Rice, Brown...............................98............ ..110
Sprite.....................................240.... ............96
Popcorn..................................Bag...... .........100

Total Calories Consumed 1,165

Note: I also drink atleast 32 oz of water, plus 1-2 herbal teas w/1-tsp of honey. NO more pop. All food is in portion to my palm, and, under or 20% fat. Except some cuts of meat. But again, reasonable portion sizes. My daily exercise is minimal but is picking up. I am doing 3 walks, 2 miles each per week, push myself as fast as I can to get up a sweat. Other work is around the yard, raking leaves, shoveling poop, pushing wheelbarrow etc. Reaching, bending, lifting.

So, again, can anyone see where I am being held back from losing a lb or is it just that I need time after so long neglecting my weight and shape??

Thanks in advance, denise
