lots of exercise + reduced calories?

So I am running/walking 5.5 miles every day. I am 5/11" and am around 165 pounds. I'd really like to be in the 150 range. I'm not sure if I'm eating enough. Today's food puts me at 2014 for the day, and that's pretty typical I think. So any advice?

Thought I'd also add that I am exhausted...all the time. Part of it has to do with my crappy sleep schedule...have been through a divorce and getting a schedule around kids as a single mom has me with 6-7 hours sleep every night and I play catch up on the weekends. I try to catch a half hour nap between when I get home from work and the kiddos get home from school. When I sleep during that nap I sleep really incredibly deep and when I have to wake up, I often have shakes and my mind feels like I took a bunch of sleeping pills. It takes a little bit of time before it wears off. I have only started having this problem since I started working out, so I'm guessing either I need more sleep, more food, or both. Just not sure what exactly to do.

Hi monizuki,

Have you tried only running every second day and on the off days doing a lighter form of exercise like yoga or pilates? I know when I run every single day my body gets tired very quickly. I find it better to do less days of running but make those days longer or more intense. Then I can let my body rest on the off days and when I come back to running the next day I have so much more energy and can do even better.

Hope that makes sense!

I would imagine your calorie intake is fine, though perhaps you'd like to post what sort of foods you would eat on a typical day to make up those calories? I notice my energy levels vary dramatically depending on what types of foods I have eaten.
