breastfeeding, can I take this vitamin?

Hi Guys
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about trypto plus supplements? I was taking for about a month b/4 I got pregnant and it really seemed to help me energy level and weightloss. I don't know if this is latin or spanish so I'm not sure if it's the same in english.

I was hoping I culd start taking them again, the only concern is that I'm breastfeeding and wouldn't want to endanger my baby. It says on the bottle pregnant or breastfeeding consult your doctor first. Anyone know? The "special" ingredient is L-triptofano. Thanks, Brenda

I googled this, and in english its tryptophan. Its currently banned in the states due to some deaths from it. I don't know if its really harmful, or if your baby could even get enough of a concentration from you to make any difference, but why take the risk? A baby is not something you take chances on. If you take a supplement or multivitamin, I'm sure its fine but you should take something that is approved by the government and a reputable company that is well known. I wouldn't take anything that is unfamiliar or contains anything that you aren't 100% certain about.

WOW!! I knew it was too good to be true - thank god I didn't take any. When I did take them , I had just bought them and took about 3 weeks(I don't remember exactly, it was in Dec. 2004) and then found out I was pregnant and stopped taking them. I saw the bottle a couple of weeks ago and was curious. Thanks so much , that's just incredible. Thanks for your time and help, Brenda
P.S. You have the best username!!
