Noooooo .. you need to eat more healthy food.
A portion size is a GUIDELINE not hard and fast rule. You need to eat more
calories, and that means that in many cases you can eat more than a single portion.
Add some fruit to your breakfast and maybe some yogurt with your cereal. Or a couple of scrambled eggs for protein.
Add some protein to your snack. Have the clementines and a couple of pieces of string cheese. Or a serving of almonds for some healthy
fat.
Add some veggies to your lunch, not just a hot dog and bun. Have a big salad or some veggies and dip or something like that.
Have another afternoon snack - an apple, some veggies, a cup of yogurt, something.
Ditch the whole "don't eat after 4" thing - there's no reason for it. And have a HEALTHY dinner, not just a cup of soup. There's nothing wrong with soup, but pair it with a healthy salad. Or have some grilled chicken or fish with veggies and a grain of some kind - brown rice, quinoa, oats, couscous, something like that.
Have a snack after dinner - some air popped popcorn or some low
fat yogurt.
Dieting doesn't mean starving yourself. If you continue to eat so poorly you will damage your metabolism and stall out your
weight loss.
