Rep Power: 0 | | | Stimulating metabolism at night I know it's recommend to eat 6 meals a day to keep your metabolism going.
But what about at night?
Lets say I leave room in my calorie allowance for a 20 cal snack, would it help keep my metabolism running throughout the night? Do you think there would be any real benefit to this?
Maybe someone else could recommend a better way to boost your metabolism at night while you sleep?
Thanks guys. |

There's no need to raise your metabolism at night; sleeping serves a specific purpose for your body. That slowing of your metabolism while you sleep is a necessary part of your biorhythms.
To better manage your metabolism overall, the best thing you can do for yourself is add strength training and regular exercise to your routine. Building and maintaining lean muscle is what makes you burn more calories on a daily basis. |

Rep Power: 0 | | There is no trick for metabolism and your body is not a machine. Give your body some rest especially at night. Continuous metabolism will only get you in trouble because you might wake up really hungry and crave for a lot of food. Eat healthy and don't wear yourself out |

So while your metabolism stays exactly the same if you eat 1 or 6 times a day, you'll lose more fat and retain more muscle the more often you eat protein. I don't have the study saved however. so I can't recall if it was a normal fat loss diet, or a very low cal one. But it was an interesting read. |
