Picky Eaters....

Okay I wasn't quite sure where to put this question so I thought seeing as it's about food this was the best place.

Basically my boyfriend is a very picky eater... He doesn't like to eat proper meat (something to do with the texture?) but he will eat processed meats.

I'm trying to find some recepies for me to cook so that I can eat meat but please him at the same time...

Any ideas anyone??

What about stews? Or things you'd cook in a crock pot. Put lots of veggies, potatoes, some beans for protein for him? the meat of your choice. He can eat the veggies and potatoes, maybe dumplings if you make/buy them and you can have the meat and veggies. Same goes you can make a stir fry he can eat everything but the meat over some whole grain rice. Otherwise I haven't a clue. I'm not very sympathetic to my boyfriend. He either eats what I make or goes hungry :P You're nice though for trying to compromise! I'm sure you'll find something

Well, my opinion is that there's no reason you have to eat the same thing. Maybe I'm a bit of a hardass ( ) but if someone is a picky eater, then I think it's kind of their responsibility to handle their own food.

That said, there are plenty of vegetarian meals that you can make and then he can add his own processed meat or whatever. Or you can fix meals for you, and he can eat the sides and fix his own meat of whatever kind he wants.

My housemate doesn't really like fish, but I love it and eat it 2x a week or more - so when I do I just fix a full meal (fish, veggies, sides, etc.) and he throws a burger patty on the stove or grill or whatever for him. Then he'll eat whatever veggies I've prepared with his burger or chicken.
