Ok i was drinking about 6 sodas a day and thats all I would drink. I would even go for a week and not even think about drinking water and i like water but i love soda.Well i know its bad for you and i need to lose alot of weight so i am tring not to drink soda at all but i think i am hooked on coffee now.Is it better for me to drink like a pot of coffee then drinking like a few sodas a day?WILL coffee make me gain alot of weight?

depends on what you put in the coffee...

but... coffee has caffeine in it.. caffeine is diuretic... you're body needs water and lots of it to speed along it's metabolism..

If you're just drinking coffee, you need to add water as a beverage... alternate between coffee and water if you must... but definitely drink more water than coffee.

Soda isn't good for you because it's pure sugar... and there are a few threads on diet soda.. but some studies have shown it does promote binging and overeating...

I dont put anything in it.I just like it black.I have been tring to drink alot of water to but i dont feel awake intell i drink a cup or two of coffee thats why i needed to know.THANKS

I think it falls in the same catagory as everything else. In moderation, coffee is fine. I used to drink coffee all day long, even before I went to bed. Slowly but surely I have lowered my intake to 1 large cup first thing in the morning. I don't wake up till I've had it, and it gives me wicked headaches to go without it.

Seems like there's something wrong with everything you put in your body. I just try to allow myself just enough of certain things, so that I don't go crazy trying to alter my lifestyle to be healthier.

I think if you drink enough water coffee is okay in moderation. If you get addicted to coffee, like I do sometimes, limit it. When I drink coffee I put milk and splenda. About 55 calories. That's not going to make you gain weight. Eating too much will. Water is still the better option. I hear it helps metabolize fat and you can also get rid of your water weight by drinking enough water. The thing I think that all over eaters need to learn is moderation. Not just with food, but with everything, to avoid transfering their addictions to something else. Good luck.

Coffee wouldn't do harm if you don't become addicted to it and let it replace water intake daily.

In my opinion and from my experience about diet, you'd better be hooked on water than any other kind of drinking else. If you start drinking a lot of water, you will see some good result both for your skin and your weight control.

Moreover, drinking water doesn't give you any calories so it's a lot better than drinking coffee which will give you both caffeine and some calories... and if you don't sweep that weight off... you know what thing will be added into ur body and you don't want to be added more pounds by drinking coffee day by day...
