Dinner and Calories

I have found that my most calorie heavy meals are dinner, b/c i actually have tiem to prepare something. Is it okay that my dinners are slightly more loaded? should i try to eat less and have a snack later on? I'm not really eating ALOT of food at dinner... like tonight i had 1/2 cup of cooked rice, a pork loin and cooked spinach... but it was 1/3 of my calories for the day. I just wanted to know whether or not this would hurt my diet.

It shouldn't do, as long as your remaining below your daily calorie intake. If you find yourself getting tired during the day, maybe you could change it around a bit so you're eating more earlier and less at night. Basic meals with lots of steamed or boiled veges and some lean meat can be very low calorie.
As long as your feeling ok, I don't think your doing anything to harm your diet.

i always save the bulk of my calories for the evening because that is when im the hungriest. plus night time is when i do my ecercise so im guessing that makes me hungrier too at dinner. and since i plan all my food out ahead of time i know at what time i will be eating what so i dont go overboard. i always have a snack later on too, but i have always figured in the calories first so i dont go above 1200 a day.

I do the opposite. I make sure i have a nice and heavy breakfast, helps me go through the day. I pack my own lunch for work and I have a nice steady dinner. Lunch is very light for me, some yogurt, a cheese stick, celery, sometimes turkey wraps and water. In the morning, I have eggs, cereal, a banana and a cup of milk and sometimes turkey bacon. I like to eat a lot in the morning that way I have enough energy and I dont shut down in the middle of the day and lately, I have noticed that it worked. And I still eat under my calorie limit. =)
