I once had a nutritionist tell me that is is NOT good to drink before or while you eat, because it hinders digestion. She said you should drink after you eat (well doesn't that sound like fun?).
This is completely opposite what I have been hearing my whole life.

Since water transports food through the system I think it would be better to have water spaced out in intervals while you eat so that it will help to transport the food constantly...?
Well I don't think it really matters too mush. From what I read if you drink your water before you eat it speeds up metabolism for a while. It works for me, If I drink 40 oz. of water before a meal If I eat slowly I can just keep eating and my stomache will keep up with anything I eat. It doesnt seem like itd make too much of a difference
I was told that drinking a lot of water right before a mean or right after a meal could dilute the HCL in your stomach.. but it's so acidic anyways, I doubt it really makes much of a difference. But either way, I just drink a glass of water with my meals, and get the rest of my 8 glasses throughout the day.
