::smart ass mode on::

and you're looking for someone to tell you that this is a good idea?

:sigh::

the water is good - but you need more food than just 3 apples a day... you willdo yourself a lot of harm...

Why did you give me an infraction for what I said when you're free to hand out insulting remarks like this yourself? This is worse than what I said, and obviously the person was highly insulted. Don't agree? Just look at the response it generated:

I think that's pretty crappy of you personally. All I said was that "maybe being overweight is due to liking to eat too much and exercise too little", almost word for word, and wasn't even directed at any one person. This goes beyond that.

I vote that you give a damn infraction to yourself. AFTER you apologize.

This infraction is worth 1 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

All the best,

Quite hypocritical. You should have asked that same thing to yourself.

Look, if you're sharing it in a forum, you are open to comments, and you may not like them!

Anyone who publicly supports drinking water and only eating three apples a day on a weight loss and nutrition website is destructive to the original poster and anyone else who may read it.

Be HONEST; what is your goal, and will this new plan actually help you attain it? I think you already know the answer......

The water is great. Three apples are about 180 calories a day, like the others have mentioned not a good idea. That will throw your body into starvation mode and even if you made it through the week without breaking down from hunger or getting sick, anything your body will take in for a few weeks afterwards will be readily stored as fat, basically sabotaging your weight loss efforts.

You said yourself you know it's not a great idea so why do it? Granted many of us are more than eager to lose weight but don't cheat yourself like that when you know better.

You need to admit to yourself that weight loss isn't about just looking good, that's just a side effect. Losing weight and eating a balanced diet is about optimizing your health and feeling well from the inside-out. Starving yourself is incompatible with that goal.
