Rep Power: 0 | | | Horses I'm not sure if anyone will care but I just wanted to post how PROUD I am of my 10yr old 15.3h Paint gelding. I baught him trained as a cow or western horse and taught him english, We've been showing together for about... 3ish years now and We're not enterd in a Silver buckel show. I go to about 5 shows and I get points for each place I get. 1st=6points 2nd=5points 3rd=4 4th=3 5th=2 and 6th=1. So if we have the most points at the end of the 5 shows we get a Silver buckel and go to the state show!! Well our first show was April 15th and we got 1st in ALL our classes!!! (for those who don't know there are different classes riders can enter, One class the judge will place you on how you ride the horse, how the horse rides, how you two work together. This is just a general idea there tons of others). So we got a total of 30points!! and we wont the dailyhigh point award!!! I don't mean to show like I'm showing off. I want to show off D because of how hard he works for his mom!! I also got a pic, sorry you can't see my face but we're more into Dartanion no? lol (Dartanion is his name btw :P)

Rep Power: 0 | | | thnx! Thnx everyone! I'm competeing for the 14-17 high point buckel seires, then if I have enough points I go to ride at STATE!!! I'm so excited!!
The classes I enterd were:
w/t English pleasure
English pleasure
English EQ
Country PLeasure western/english
Hunter Hack 2' (she wouldn't go higher )
Now this last show I went to didn't go so well for 2 reasons. 1. The judge was a western lover and didn't know how to judge english and 2. There is ontl riding school with about 4 girls who go around to shows and fallow this one judge that alwasy places them better than other people
My results in order of the classes above ^^^
5th out of 5 (I did a crappy job this class)
3rd out of 4
3rd out of 3 (My knees were out)
3rd out of 5
there was no jumping because they forgot the jumps .
Now where I got 3rd out of 4, the class is judged by if it looks like your horse would be a pleasure to ride. The girl who got first had a horse the bucked, triped, and she stoped and had to spin him in circles?? how the heck is that a pleasure to ride? oie anyways, I'm still proud of D , He worked hard . I might ride western as well next show to get more points :P.
Xorie - thats awesome!!!! have fun with it, It's a challenge and a lot of work. Well if you want to show lol, If your going to have fun it's fairly easy .
thanx to everyone else as well! I'll tell D he has a few fans!!! I'm going to post a pic of me and D jumping a 3' hay bail just for fun . hope everyone enjoys!
p.s. Don't follow my example ALWAYS wear a helmit, I wasn't planing on jumping so I didn't wear one :P

Rep Power: 0 | | | kool [b]Your daughter is lucky lol. My tallest horse is 16h but I'm hoping my 3yr old will get taller than that. Right now I would say he's around... 15-15.2hish He's a Belgium QH cross so I'm hoping. OOO I'll post pics of my first time being on his back. We walked and did circles and just simple stuff. I just got in from working with him and his bite. Oie he was a sweaty boy (also being pretty naughty). He was a stallion in the pics, we've had him gelded since then, I'll admit to being lazy and busy because I've only ridden him about 5 times lol.

Rep Power: 0 | | Aww. Yeah, that's my thinking. I give all the credit to the horse. After all, they are doing the hard work. hah. I hate when people take all the credit. Give crediit to the horsie too! Yeah, I'm weird. xD
Here's a picture of the horsie I half lease. He's sweet. His name is Bubba and he's a hanovarian/westphalian cross. 16 years old. (:
But my true lover is Sarge. He's got a crazy personality. I can't ride him yet but he's a ton of fun just to do ground work with. He's a challenge though. You have to make sure he knows your boss or he'll end up hurting you. xD
This is Sarge's dorky nose. Love this boy! xD |

Rep Power: 14488 | | hmmm. sounds like Chance at our barn! I tried to put shavings in his stall, and completely spaced the fact that we spead them from the other stall when he's in his, and opened the door... needless to say, he tried to get out, and I stopped him, so he bit me. BUT I got in his face, and he hasn't tried that trick again, but there are the times when he gets at the horse that you're leading, and i think it's all a ploy to get at you. But he can be a sweetie at times, and he's gorgeous! (morgan something cross)

Rep Power: 14488 | | I thought I'd put up a few pics that I got to take today.
This is Storm, she's a 14 year old QH, and has tons of energy and loves to eat. In fact, she loves to eat so much, that if you're not careful, at the end of the day when we're bringing them in for feed, she'll run you right over in her haste to get out of the pasture and on her way to her food!
And this one, same subject

Rep Power: 0 | | | Beautiful horses!!! the 3yr old i'm "breaking" in right now is doing very well. I've ridden him 7 times!! He's been ridden with a bit 4ish times. He can stop, turn, back, and gives to the bit when we're in park lol. However when we're doing ground work I have .... kinda draw reins on him and he gives beautifully!!! I'm hoping to take him to the show with D in June! you all have such beautiful horses!!!!
