We currently have a infestation of " chavs", who basically give abuse to anyone that walks past them, destroy things including memorials and graveyards, hang around in groups of about 20 of them which is a little intimidating, and they basically just ruin the place. So without them Dover probably would be a nicer place lol. |

Rep Power: 34 | | I am in the North West, in Cumbria. Beautiful up here if you like sheep and cows and lots and lots of mountains and fortunately I do . I lived in the South East for a decade of necessity but much prefer it up here.

I have dated very few American men--nearly all of them have been from other countries. I think the differences are attractive or something. But if i hear one more american woman say to my husband, "oh i just LOVE your accent!" I'm gonna hurl..lmao. I don't even hear his accent anymore--just so used to it after 10yrs lmao. Why are american women such suckers for men with foreign accents???

Rep Power: 277 | | lol i can understand that.
everywhere i go people say to me " are you from england..." it always make me grin and smile though. I like feeling special in an alien country. Then i always grin at my boyfriend if he's with me, cause he knows i enjoy people noticing lol
Im losing my super British sound tho i think people still comment on it, but my family say i sound american-ised lol
i was in awe of my bfs accent when i first met him 2 years ago, and him mine but now we say we dont really notice each others any more cause they are the norm. He always gives me a big "your special" cuddle though after people comment on my accent, especially if its a guy LOL.

Rep Power: 405476 | | What I find annoying is that when i was in England and Australia, no one ever said to me, "Oh I just LOVE your accent!" So when they say it to my H, it irritates me. I guess no one likes american accents--at least not midwestern ones..lmao. Oh well...screw 'em!!
