web hosting sites
Does anyone here have any recommendations for web hosting sites besides youtube?
The site would have to allow me to embed my videos that are uploaded on it into my own website.

Do you have any idea what type of platform you'll be using (Wordpress, Joomla, TypePad, Drupal, etc...) to publish your site?
*Edit* - Oops, my bad didn't quite understand the question at first. Are you just looking for an alternative video sharing site? If so, I think MetaCafe is one. Here's a link to an article (it's a bit old, but some of the sites might be around) -

the site that's hosting your web page - they don't give you any webspace for images and such?
as long as the video is somewhere -you just need the 'code' to have it play on your page...
and that's pretty much the same code as youtube uses...
Though - having youtube for your videos - might give you more traffic (though I personally detest the 15 minutes of fame concept that is youtube
