Eating Disorders

So many people these days have some type of eating disorder, whether it's chronic overeating, bulimia or anorexia. I believe the media has a great deal to do with it. What are your thoughts on eating disorders? Do you know somebody with an eating disorder or do you have an eating disorder?

Eating Disorder Quiz #1
Eating Disorder Quiz #2
Here are two quizzes that can be used to help screen for eating disorders. you can take them just for curiosity and see what happens! If you'd like, post your results on here and let us know how you feel about the results.

For the first quiz, my results were: You scored 85% You might want to talk your doctor about your eating habits. You scored 15% You are probably not suffering from an eating disorder. I sometimes feel that I could potentially have an obsession over food, but who doesn't these days? I try to help myself not think about food and my weight at times, but my problem is more with low self esteem.

For the second quiz, my score was 212: It appears that an intensive treatment program is advisable, as it is most likely that an eating disorder is present to a significant degree. Please consult with an admissions coordinator for further evaluation. So...ya! I'm not going to abide by this, but it just goes to show that even I apparently have eating disorders. It seems like everybody does these days! But what is "normal"? What are your thoughts?

First one:
You scored 65% You might want to talk your doctor about your eating habits.
If you scored between 71 per cent and 90 per cent, you have indicated a positive response to several questions that are indictors of eating disorders. We suggest you talk to a professional about these behaviours, or attend an eating disorders screening.

You scored 35% You are probably not suffering from an eating disorder.
A score of 90% or higher here indicates that according to the way you answered this questionaire, you may not be suffering from an eating disorder, although any one behaviour could be a symptom that you would want to mention to your doctor. We hope you learned more about eating disorders by taking this quiz.

Second one:
Your score is 212.
If you wish to communicate with The Center regarding this survey result, you may fill out and submit the following form on-line, or print out this page and mail or fax the information to us.

Look like we got the same on the 2nd. I'm from Canada too. Where are you?
